How To Support Independent Music And Farfetched
On a weekly basis, we are asked how people can support our collective and the artists within the collective. We figured this would be a great time to inform people on how you can support not only our collective and any independent artist you see.
Buy Music (or Merch)
This is a easy one.
Buying our music or merch is the quickest way or support our efforts directly.
Buying at our Bandcamp page directly or on this website really is the best way to do it.
One new item this year for Farfetched is our Subscription Model:
For $84, you can have yearly access to all of our music and receive a discount off of Merch and more. Supporting our Subscription Model allows for us to pay for all of the fees we have throughout the year, pay for studio time, travel, and put in our own shows during the year.
Also, most of our releases are available on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services. Sadly the streaming model is not particularly a profitable model as of today.
If you are going to pay, buy through our Bandcamp page or buy directly on the website.
This is a big one. If you like our music, tell your circle of friends about us. Liking and sharing our releases and shows allows for more people to hear our music. Sharing can also mean telling your favorite radio station, podcast, or music writer they should cover us. Or create a playlist and share with your friends.
As far as we know, we have no plans to sell out. The only thing we want to sell out are our shows and merch (hint, hint).
Tell a friend to tell a friend keeps us going strong.
Follow Our Social Media Accounts (and Talk to us!)
Following us on the various social media sites helps us a ton. We are really active on Facebook and Instagram these days. Twitter is meh for us these days but we are on there.
Also follow your favorite artists on social as well and interact with them!
If you send us a comment, more than likely we’ll respond.
Have any other ways you can support that we haven't mentioned? Let us know below in the comments.
